Dear Mr Cheng Kai Chu Mr Ridwan Bin Abdul Rahim has sent you a new Portal notice with the subject 'ICQ 2026 Instructions for Exam' ------------------------------ Dear parents, We would like to share the final details for the ICQ competition scheduled to take place on Thursday, 6 August 2026. Please take note of the updated exam timing and ensure your child is well-prepared for the day. Key Details • Test Date: Thursday, 6 August 2026 • Updated Time: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM • Reporting Time: 2:30 PM • Venue: MPH, NPS International School • Format: Online (students must bring their own laptops fully charged) Exam Day Essentials Students must bring: 1. Student ID 2. Writing tools: pencils, erasers, rulers, blue/black pens, and blank scratch paper 3. A paper dictionary without notes 4. A non-programmable calculator 5. A paper Periodic Table (downloadable from the official website) 6. Their own laptop Please ensure that: • The laptop is fully charged before the exam (charging points may not be available). • Students know their Account Number and Password to log in to the exam portal. • They know the email address used for ICQ registration. Items Not Allowed • Mobile phones, smartwatches, earphones, and other electronic devices • Any personal items not listed in the “allowed” section above Technical Requirements for the Exam • Device: Laptop or computer only (no iPads or phones) • Operating System: o Windows: Windows 10 or newer, with 8GB RAM and quad-core CPU o MacOS: iOS11 or newer, Core i5 or M1/M2/M3 chip recommended • Browser: Latest version of Google Chrome recommended All ICQ preparation resources have been uploaded to Firefly under Chemistry Resources. Please ensure that your child has attempted the past papers at least once and completed the online Mock Exam using the login details provided after registration. The Mock Exam is important as it checks device compatibility and helps students become familiar with the online examination platform. Please refer to the organiser’s Exam Instruction email for the exact opening and closing times, as the Mock Exam will close before the formal examination. Please ensure that all requirements are met in advance to avoid any disruptions on exam day.
